The Alpen HSS Cobalt Drill Bit 6.5mm (ALP623065) is a precision jobber drill built for demanding metalworking tasks. Made from 5% cobalt-alloyed high speed steel, this 6.5 x 101/63 mm bit delivers high heat resistance and is designed for drilling steels with tensile strength over 800 N/mm. It is especially suited to high alloy steels, bearing steels, hot or cold-rolled steel and is ideal for stainless steel applications.

A special point shape provides accurate, self-centering starts for cleaner holes and reduced walking, while the precisely ground flute geometry ensures fast drilling progress and requires up to 50% less feed pressure. The bit is engineered to cope with extreme thermal stress, performing reliably even under conditions up to 600. Alpen drill bits are manufactured in Austria and packaged as a single unit (Qty 1).
