Founded in 2010 in Somerset West, Triggerfish Brewing is one of the pioneers of South African craft beer and the second-oldest craft brewery in the greater Cape Town area. Brewing in small, meticulous batches, they focus on mastering complex classic styles while boldly exploring innovative hybrids. Nestled in the heart of wine country, they launched a pioneering Sour Beer Programme in 2013, using aged wine barrels to create distinctive, character-driven brews. Stonefish is a rich, full-bodied American Barleywine brewed for slow sipping and cold winter days. Deep and aromatic, it opens with a comforting sweetness that draws you in before delivering a bold hoppy punch on the finish. Layers of caramel malt create warmth and depth, while the elevated alcohol adds a smooth, warming character.
