Viognier - Single

Babylonstoren Viognier is a beautifully expressive white wine crafted from 100% Viognier grapes grown on the historic Babylonstoren estate at the foot of the Simonsberg. Known for their uncompromising approach to farming and winemaking, Babylonstoren produces this Viognier in a style that balances the naturally perfumed aromatics of the variety with freshness, texture and elegance.

It is a wine that showcases both varietal purity and the unique terroir of the Western Cape. Colour: Bright straw gold with youthful golden highlights. Nose: Intensely aromatic and inviting with notes of ripe peach, apricot, orange blossom and honeysuckle. Subtle hints of ginger, citrus peel and soft floral perfume emerge with time in the glass.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied and generously textured. Flavours of stone fruit, ripe pear and citrus oil glide across the palate, supported by gentle spice and a creamy mid-palate. The wine retains excellent freshness despite its richness. Finish: Long, clean and gently savoury with lingering fruit purity, soft spice and a refreshing, lightly mineral tail.
