Farfalle is small squares of original Italian pasta - made from Durum Wheat Semolina and pure water - that are pinched in the middle, very similar to a bow tie, hence they are sometimes also referred to as cravatini, small ties. Their shape is more than 500 years old and originates from the Lombardia and Emilia-Romagna part of Northern Italy.

Due to their detailed and delicate shape, Farfalle is perfectly suited for making tasty pasta salads, while matching particularly well with light vegetable sauces or with the delicate flavours of any seafood.
