Grown in the Elgin region, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented traditionally, before aging for 12 months in French oak barrels (20% new) and a concrete egg to add depth and freshness.

The result is a wine of balance and character: Nose: Aromas of fynbos, white pepper and subtle spice. Palate: Layers of blackberry, plum and cherry, with notes of oak, tobacco and dark chocolate. Finish: Smooth tannins and lively acidity give an elegant, lingering structure.
