Reserve Chenin Blanc Single Bottle

Tasting Notes:
The nose has an enticing bouquet of yellow peach and orange zest, while the palate evokes a bright freshness of acidity. The wine lingers on the palate with a tight and focused finish. Food Pairings:
This wine pairs well with a Goat's Cheese Salad that contains Pear and Walnuts.

The wine's textural finesse highlights the contrast between the soft cheese and fresh greens. The zesty citrus profile would further elevate the dish entirely. A Grilled Snoek with Apricot Glaze would also pair well due to the oily richness of the snoek and the bright acidity of the Chenin Blanc. The wine's fruit-forward characteristics go hand-in-hand with the sweetness of the apricot glaze.

Vineyards and harvest:
The vineyards are located in the heart of the Golden Triangle on the Helderberg side of Stellenbosch, with high-potential soils and optimal fruit ripening. This region has a significant cooling effect from the ocean breeze, which allows for the grapes to ripen evenly and slowly. "Koffieklip" soil that contains a clay sub-soil, combines with plant material that maintains the virus-free status, allowing the wine to show valuable fruit expression and pure quality.

Vinification:
Picking occurs early in the morning to ensure the grapes are kept cool to retain the fresh acidity of the grapes. This wine encapsulates the characteristics of four different vineyard blocks. Each vineyard block was picked separately to emphasise the significance and influence of different terroirs on the wine.

The grapes were then whole-bunch pressed to ensure the quality of the juice and allowed to settle for 48 hours. The juice was subsequently inoculated and fermented in varied-sized barrels. The wine subsequently spends a total time of 7 months on lees. Vintage subject to the latest available vintage from the winery.What's in the box
