The Time Traveler's Wife is a US sci-fi romantic drama based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger. Henry DeTamble (Theo James) is afflicted with a rare genetic disorder that causes him to become unstuck in time, flitting uncontrollably between various moments in his life. As a young man, he meets Clare Abshire (Sarah Gadon), and they fall in love. Clare is married to a man named Hugh (Brian Cox), but they eventually divorce. Henry and Clare get married, but Henry's disorder causes him to become unstuck in time, and he begins to flit between different moments in his life. As a result, he is unable to have children with Clare. Henry and Clare eventually divorce, and Henry meets a woman named Lisa (Mia Wasikowska). Henry and Lisa eventually marry, and have a child. Henry's disorder eventually causes him to become unstuck in time again, and he begins to flit between different moments in his life. This time, he is able to have children with Lisa.
