Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml belongs to the class of medications called eye lubricants used to give temporary relief from symptoms of dry eyes. Dry eye is a condition that commonly occurs due to allergic eye diseases or eye infections, wind, heating/air conditioning, and certain medications. Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml is a combination of two lubricating medicines, polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol that help in the treatment of dry eyes.

Both polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol work similar to natural tears and bring temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dry eyes. Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml is available for external use only in the form of eye drops. You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml are application site reactions such as burning/stinging sensation or redness in the eye, itching, irritation, blurred vision.

These side-effects are usually mild and temporary. Consult your doctor if these side-effects persist. Do not take Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml if you are allergic to Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml or any other contents present in it. Before taking Systane Ultra Eye Drops 10ml, inform your doctor if you have glaucoma a condition with increased pressure in the eye, ulcers in the eye, undergone or scheduled for eye surgery, or any other eye problems.

Eye drops: Wash your hands thoroughly with water before and after use. Take the prescribed amount of dose with the dropper and squeeze out a drop without touching the eye.

Wipe any excess liquid with a tissue. Do not wipe or rinse the dropper tip after use. Place the dropper back on the bottle and tighten the cap. Note: Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Do not place the tip directly into the eye while instilling the drop. If the dropper touches the eye, immediately squeeze two to three drops onto the tissue and wipe the dropper's tip.
