Co-founded in 1996 by Jimmy Choo, J . Choo Limited is best known for their exclusive handmade couture shoes. A graduate of Cordwaiers Technical College in 1983, Choo, who was born in Malaysia into a family of shoemakers, had his big break in 1988 when his creations were featured in a record eight page spread in Vogue.

His shoes were marketed as the Jimmy Choo London line and soon found celebrity patronage. Selling the 50% stake in his company in 2001, Choo has since concentrated his efforts on the Jimmy Choo Couture line and has expanded his goods to include accessories such as handbags and perfumes. Though he resides in London, Choo is actively involved in promoting talent in his native Malaysia where he uses his international status to inspire up and coming shoemakers and fashion designers.

Both Malaysia and Britain use Choo for promotional work of which he happily obliges as he feels he can strive to achieve so much more beyond what he has already done in couture.

Jimmy Choo introduced his first perfume in February 2011. A modern floral fruity fragrance with a deep woody base, Jimmy Choo starts with lively notes of fresh pear and ginger while sparkling top notes of green and a heart of exotic tiger orchid and a base of sweet toffee and patchouli round off this perfect scent.
